Biography

Lewis Edward Rowlands (SN 15577) was Ballarat born and attended Dana Street State School. He was 18 years old, single and employed as a clerk when he joined the 6th Field Ambulance, AAMC, on July 19th 1916. He embarked from Melbourne on October 11th on board the Port :Lincoln bound for the battlefields of France. On April 21st 1917 he was killed in action at Noreuil, and is buried in Queant Road Cemetery, Buissy, France.
