Biography

Born in Sebastopol, Victoria, Joseph Edward Mannion was a single 20 year old slaughterman at the time of his enlistment in Ballarat on the 9th of July 1915. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A56 Palermo on the 29th of October 1915.
Joseph returned to Australia on the 25th of July 1919, and was discharged due to the termination of his enlistment period on the 16th of September 1919.
