Frank O'Sullivan was a Corporal in the 5th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 1594. He was born in Mt Clear and had enlisted there on 1st December 1914. He was a labourer, single and aged 22. During his service he was transferred to 15th Light Trench Mortar Battery. He was killed in an artillery bombardment in the trenches in the Somme area on 22nd November 1916. His name is recorded on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France.
