Percy Thompson Fricker (SN 1233) was born in Maryborough and educated at Wendouree State School in Ballarat. He enlisted on April 12th 1915. He declared he was 19 years old, single, and a butcher. He was posted to the 22nd Battalion and left for Gallipoli in May aboard the Ulysses . He was wounded at Gallipoli in October and was being evacuated by sea to England when his condition became worse, and he was hospitalised at Malta. He died there of pneumonia on November 16th 1915, and is buried in the Pieta Military Cemetery, Malta. He was 19 years of age.
