Biography

Ethel Isabel Davidson (Sister) born at Coleraine, trained as a nurse at the Ballarat Base Hospital where she was a single 30 year old when she joined the Australian Army Nursing Service in May 1915. She embarked in June and sailed to Egypt where she was attached to the 1st Australian Hospital. She then served in France and in England primarily with the 2nd Australian General Hospital and the No. 14 General Hospital. She returned to Australia as nursing staff aboard the Delta, disembarked on March 10th 1919 and her position was terminated on July 6th.
