Biography

Florence Vines was born in Geelong, Victoria, was single and a nurse when she enlisted with the Convalescent Depot, Harefield Park, London on 12 June 1915 at the age of 29. Her unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A67 Orsova on 17 July 1915. She was invalided to Australia aboard the Wiltshire on 30 March 1918 due to dysentery. She received a medical discharge on 6 August 1918.
