A nurse by trade, Ruby Just was a single 27 year old when she enlisted on the 9th of July 1915. Her unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A71 Nestor on the 11th of October 1915.
On the 1st of October 1918 she was promoted from Staff Nurse to Sister.
Ruby returned to Australia on the 30th of January 1919 and was discharged on the 19th of March 1919.
