Ruby Bertha Just (Sister) born at Sunbury, trained as a nurse at the Ballarat Base Hospital. Aged 27 she joined the Australian Army Nursing Service on July 9th 1915. Just a week later she embarked aboard the Morea and sailed to England where she served until October 1917 when she was moved to France. At war’s end she returned to Australia aboard the Orontes, disembarked on January 30th 1919 and her AANS appointment was terminated on March 19th.
