Biography

Born in Ballarat, Emily Ethel May Knight was a single 35 year old nurse at the time of her enlistment as a Staff Nurse on the 9th of November 1917. Her unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board SS Indarra on the 26th of November 1917.
On the 26th of November 1919, Emily was promoted to Sister.
She returned to Australia on the 27th of December 1919, and was discahrged as medically unfit on the 25th of August 1920 due to a disorganisation of her right knee joint.
