Jessie Reeves (Sister) born at Castlemaine, trained as a nurse at the Ballarat Base Hospital. On May 14th 1915 she joined the Queen Alexandra’s Imperial Military Nursing Service Reserve and embarked the same day aboard the Mooltan and sailed to Egypt. She served there in hospitals at Alexandria and Ismalia and also on the island of Lemnos. She also served on the Hospital Ship Morea, transporting sick and wounded soldiers from battle zones such as Gallipoli and Sinai to hospitals at Egypt and Malta. She returned to Australia aboard the Kildonian Castle and her position was terminated on May 5th 1919.
