Ernest Arnold Burnett (SN 15094) was born at Illabarook and was a 26 year old farmer when he enlisted at Learmonth on March 23rd 1916. Attached to the Australian Medical Corps he embarked aboard the Karoola and sailed to Egypt. He served at the 14th Australian General Hospital until, as a member of the nursing staff, he returned to Australia aboard the Kanowna, disembarking at Melbourne on September 1st 1918. He was discharged on October 5th 1918.
