Robert Victor Farckens was born in Mildura, Victoria. Being a single man and a Labourer at age of 22 , he enlisted at Broadmeadows in Victoria at the on the 19th August 1914. His Unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board Transport A24 Benalla on 19 October 1914. Promoted to Sergeant on 29/12/17. He proceeded back to Australia on or about the 24/9/18. Tree No. 131.
