Biography

Arthur Oliver Morrell was born in Ballarat and on 25th November he enlisted from there. He was a 30 year old, unmarried labourer. He was sent to the 9th Light Horse Regiment, with Regimental No. 684A. Later he was transferred to the 50th Infantry Battalion. He was killed during the fighting around Polygon Wood on 27th September 1917. He is buried in Hooge Crater Cemetery, Ypres, Belgium.
