John Halse enlisted in Adelaide, South Australia at the age of 33 on the 19th of August 1915. He had been born in Ballarat, Victoria, was Married, and was employed as a Carter. He volunteered and was stationed with the 2nd Divisional Ammunition Column with the Regimental number 3511. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 19th of October 1917. Tree number 1419.
