Clement William Scott McCallum was born in Ballarat and enlisted there on
22nd August 1914. He was single, 23 years old, and a cabinet maker. He joined the 8th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 156. During his service he was promoted Corporal. He was killed on 11th August 1918 in the fighting around Amiens. His name is on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France.
