Biography

Geogre Ramage Murfett was born in Horsham but enlisted from Ballarat West on 13th January 1916. He was a bricklayer, 33 years old and unmarried. He was posted to the 21st Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 4169. He was killed in action at Mouquet farm on 26th August 1916, and buried in Serre Road Cemetery No. 1, France.
