Maurice Leslie McLeod was a Lieutenant in the 8th Infantry Battalion. He had been born at Seiglitz, was 20 years old, single, and worked as a tailor's cutter. He enlisted on 28th August 1914. He was killed in action at the Anzac Landing on 25th April 1915, and is buried in Shell Green Cemetery, Gallipoli, Turkey.
