Biography

John Gerard Quinn enlisted in Ballarat, Victoria at the age of 20 on the 21st of September 1915. He had been born in Ballarat, Victoria, was single, and was employed as a Drapers Assistant. He volunteered and was stationed with the 39th Battalion, D Company later transferring to the 1st Australian General Hospital as Regimental number 1380. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 10th of September 1917.

His brother also served: Pte Michael Andrew Quinn, 46th Bn, returned to Australia, 30 January 1918 (Tree No. 2676)
