Born in Ballarat, Albert Henry Lacy was a single 19 year old blacksmith when he enlisted on the 16th of September 1914. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A32 Themistocles on the 22nd of December 1914.
He was wounded on the 8th of July 1915, but rejoined his unit on the 28th of September 1915.
Albert was appointed Driver on the 19th of July 1916.
He returned to Australia on the 23rd of December 1918, and was discharged on the 22nd of February 1919.
