Biography


Clifford Nicholson Williams was a single 24 year old clerk from Ballarat when he enlisted on the 15th of April 1916. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A37 Barambah on the 27th of June 1916. On November 30th 1917 he was appointed Second Lieutenant. On the 28th of February 1918 he was promoted to Lieutenant. Clifford returned to Australia on the 17th of August 1919 and discharged due to the termination of his enlistment period on the 27th of March 1920.
