George Davey was born in Ballarat, Victoria was single and was employed as a Fireman. He enlisted in Melbourne, Victoria at the age of 30. He volunteered and was stationed with the Railway Unit, Section 2 later transferring to the 1st Australian Light Railway Operating Company with the Regimental number 482. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 11th of May 1919. Tree number 2898.
