Olof Lemuel Olden (Major) was born in Ballarat and was a 52 year old assayer when he enlisted on October 6th 1915 specifically for sea transport duty. He twice served on return voyages between Australia and Egypt before his discharge on May 31st 1916.
Two of his brothers John and Arthur also served in the AIF and are honoured with a tree in the Avenue.
