Biography

John Field Marshall enlisted in Ballarat, Victoria at the age of 21 on the 8th of July 1915. He had been born in London, United Kingdom, was single and was employed as a Clerk. He volunteered and was stationed with the 2nd Field Artillery Brigade, 12th Reinforcement later transferring to the X1A Trench Mortar Battery with the Regimental number 6014. He was Killed in Action on the 26th of June 1916. He is buried at the "Y" Farm Military Cemetery (Row H, Grave number 38). Tree number 3191.
