Alexander James Letcher enlisted in Ballarat, Victoria, at the age of 19 on the 26th of January 1915. He had been born in Ballarat, Victoria was single, and was employed as a Saddler. He volunteered and was stationed with the 21st Battalion, B Company with the Regimental number 414. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 5th of April 1919. Tree No. 3199.
