Biography

Born in Ballarat, Victoria and an electrician by trade, Ernest George Adamson was 21 years when enlisted on the 6th of January 1915 in the14th Battalion, 4th Reinforcement, and Australian Imperial Force with the rank of 'Private', number 1873. His Unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A9 'Shropshire' on the 29th of March 1915. Ernest was admitted to hospital on the 4th of December 2015 because of frost bite and on the 5th of February 2016 for jaundice and dental problems. On the 15th of March 2016 Ernest was admitted for cardiac and on the 10th of April 2016 for cardiac asthenia and was listed as returned to Australia on the 11th of April 1916 per 'Runic' ex Suez' Cardiac Asthenia'. His War service was in Egypt and Gallipoli. Tree No: 363
