Biography

Gerard Sinclair Finnis (SN 68795) born in Ballarat, was a 19 year old tailor when he enlisted in Melbourne on July 13th 1918. With the 15th General Service Reinforcements, he embarked from Adelaide aboard the Boonah on October 22nd but with the signing of the Armistice the Boonah was recalled and he was discharged on February 5th 1919.

His brother George also served in the AIF and is honoured with a tree in the Avenue.
