Biography

Thomas Percival Hunt was a single 25 year miner at the time of his enlistment on the 24th of May 1915. His unit embarked from Fremantle, Western Australia, on board HMAT A51 Chilka on the 18th of June 1915.
On the 14th of April 1916 he was transferred to the 12th Field Ambulance.
Thomas was wounded in action on the 29th of July 1916 with a gunshot wound to the foot and was invalided to the U.K and admitted for gas asphyxia.
On February 5th 1918, he was promoted Temporary Corporal.
Thomas returned to Australia on the 2nd of August 1919 and was discharged on the 3rd of October 1919.
