Biography

Alfred Roy Smerdon was born at Mt Rowan, but enlisted as a printer from Murrayville. He was 23 years of age, and single. He was posted to 21st Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 6380. On 7th September 1918 he was killed in action in the Mont St Quentin area, and buried in the Peronne Communal Cemetery, France.
