Charles Gordon Ventes Dixon, Ballarat-born Labourer, enlisted as a Private at age 24 on the 18th of May 1916 with the Anzac Cyclist Battalion, Reinforcement 2. His unit embarked from Melbourne on board HMAT A37 Barambah on the 27th of June 1916. He returned to Australia on the 2nd of July 1919
