James Augustine O'Rourke was a single 23 year old blacksmith when he enlisted on the 24th of March 1915.His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A14 Euripides on the 10th of May 1915. James returned to Australia on the 3rd of August 1916 and was discharged as medically unfit on the 16th of October 1916 after suffering with a dilated heart.
