Leslie Hall was a single 30 year old butcher at the time of his enlistment on the 25th of January 1915. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board Transport A34 Persic on the 28th of May 1915.
On the 3rd of November 1915 he was taken on strength with the 13th Light Horse Regiment.
On the 18th of January 1916 he was admitted to hospital in Heliopolis for shell shock. He was discharged to duty on the 28th of January 1916.
Leslie returned to Australia on the 17th of February 1919 and was discharged due to the termination of his enlistment period on the 19th of March 1919.
His sister Alice Mary Hall also served in the AIF and is honoured with a tree in the Avenue.
