Biography

Born in Ballarat, Grant and a Clerk by trade, Campbell Brokenshire was 20 years and single when enlisted on the 18th of March 1915 in the MED26.49.1SECTIONB, Australian Imperial Force, with the rank of Private, Number 3302. Embarked 'Scotian' to join Gallipoli on the 30th of August 1915. On the 14th of November 1915 admitted to Hospital, Gallipoli; 21st of November 1915 admitted to 1st Auxiliary Hospital, Ex H.S. 'Maheno', Heliopolis. On the 3rd of January 1916 Embarked for Australia per H.S. 'Ulysses' Nursing Duties, Suez and was listed as returned to Australia on the 3rd of January 1916. Tree No. 627
