Biography

William Herbert Murray (SN 3202) was born in Ballarat and attended the Urquhart Street State School. He was 18 years old, single and working as a motor driver when he enlisted on March 23rd 1915. He was assigned to the 6th Field Ambulance and embarked for Gallipoli in June. On November 15th 1915 he died of wounds received at Brown's Dip, and is buried in Ari Burnu Cemetery, Gallipoli, Turkey.
