Biography

lna Tempest Moore (SN 4256) was born in Ballarat from where he enlisted alongside his twin brother on July 9th 1915. The 36 year old was married and employed as an engine driver when he joined the 14th Infantry Battalion. He left Melbourne for France aboard the Demosthenes in December 1915. He arrived in France in June 1916 but was killed in action at Bois Grenier on July 3rd 1916. He is buried in the Brewery Orchard Cemetery, France.

His twin brother Clement was also killed in the same battle and is honoured with a tree in the Avenue.
