Born in Ballarat, James Patrick Morgan was a single 28 year old labourer at the time of his enlistment on the 24th of December 1914. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board A34 Persic on the 28th of May 1915.
James returned to Australia on the 7th of May 1919, and was discharged on the 6th of July 1919 due to the termination of his enlistment period.
