Inez Elsie Peady (Staff Nurse) born at Sebastopol, trained as a nurse at the Ballarat Base Hospital before enlisting in the Australian Army Nursing Service in Melbourne on August 1st 1919. She was 33 years old. On August 12th she embarked aboard the Ypiringa on nursing duty for deportees being taken to London. She returned to Australia aboard the Themistocles, disembarked on February 5th 1920 and her position was terminated on March 22nd.
Her sister Bertha volunteered her services as a nurse and is honoured with a tree in the Avenue.
