Bertha Beatrice Peady (Sister) born at Sebastopol, trained as a nurse at the Ballarat Base Hospital. On August 11th 1917 she volunteered her services as a nurse at the 11th Australian General Hospital in Caulfield, Melbourne.
Her sister Inez served in the Australian Army Nursing Service and is honoured with a tree in the Avenue.
