Edward Williams enlisted in Ballarat, Victoria at the age of 30 on the 9th of July 1915. He had been born in Ballarat, Victoria, was single, and was employed as a Moulder. He volunteered and was stationed with the 14th Battalion, 13th Reinforcements with the Regimental number 4335. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 14th of January 1917.
