Biography

Born in Ballarat, Roy Lyons was a single 18 year old clerk at the time of his enlistment on the 10th of July 1915. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A63 Karoola on the 7th of March 1916.
Roy returned to Australia on the 3rd of January 1918, and was discharged as medically unfit on the 4th of February 1918 due to æhammer toes'.
