Biography

Stanley George Mars was born in Ardmona and enlisted in Castlemaine on 1st October 1914. He was 23 years old, single and a labourer. He was accepted into 14th Infantry Battalion. with Regimental No. 748. He was killed on 27th April 1915 during the confused fighting immediately after the Landing at Gallipoli. He is buried at Quinn's Post Cemetery, Gallipoli, Turkey.
