Biography

John Brew was a journalist working for the Ballarat Courier when he enlisted on 26th September 1916. He had been born near Liverpool, UK. He was 42 years old and unmarried. He was posted to the 39th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 2284. He was killed in action at Messines on 8th June 1917. His name is recorded on the Menin Gate Memorial, Belgium.รก
