Biography

Stanley Paulig was born in Stiglitz, VIC and was a Salesman in Ballarat when he enlisted in the Army Medical Corps, Special Reinforcements on 31 July 1915 at the age of 18. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A63 Karoola on 7 March 1916. According to his record he escaped any serious illness or injury during his time with the 13th Field Ambulance. He returned to Australia 31 May 1919 and proceeded to work with the Nursing Staff before receiving a final discharge on 7 April 1920.
