Frederick Richard Davey enlisted in Stawell, Victoria at the age of 25 on the 4th of January 1915. He had been born in Ballarat, Victoria, was single, and was employed as an Butcher. He volunteered and was stationed with the 2nd Machine Gun Company with the Regimental number 1933. He was Killed in Action on the 21st of September 1917. He has no known grave, but he is commemorated at the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Belgium. Tree number 3074.
