Biography

Roland George Davey was a 19 year old, unmarried grocer from Ballarat when he enlisted on 4th January, 1915. He was born in Ballarat. He joined the 39th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 1669. He was killed in action on Gallipoli on 27th August 1915, and is buried in Embarkation Pier Cemetery, Gallipoli.
