Born in Ballarat, Arthur Robert Lamont was a married 25 year old metal polisher at the time of his enlistment on the 17th of May 1915 in Keswick, South Australia. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A67 Orsova on the 17th of July 1915.
Arthur returned to Australia on the 27th of December 1918 and was discharged as medically unfit on the 11th of February 1919 due to chronic bronchitis.
