Alexander McIntyre was born at Learmonth approx 12kms North of Ballarat. He was a Labourer by trade, single and at the age of 21 enlisted at Melbourne,Victoria on 20 August 1914. His Unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board Transport A18 Wiltshire on 19 October 1914. Once disembarked at Alexandria 20/5/15 was admitted to hospital sick 27/4/17 and rejoined unit on 8/7/17. Was temporary Corporal at Belah 18/1/18. He returned to Australia 7 January 1919.
