Rupert James McIntyre was born at Learmonth approx 12kms North of Ballarat. He was also a Labourer, single and at age 18 enlisted from Ballarat on 13 June 1916. He embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A14 Euripides on 11 September 1916. Arrived in France 13/12/16. Admitted to hospital with Pleurisy 10/3/17 and rejoined unit 30/7/17. Was again wounded in action 22/1/18. He returned to Australia 10 April 1919. Tree No. 3174.
