Arthur James Pinney enlisted in Melbourne, Victoria, at the age of 24 on the 24th of March 1915. He had been born in Melbourne, Victoria, was single, and was employed as a Shoeing Smith. He volunteered and was stationed with the 7th Battalion, 6th Reinforcement with the Regimental number 2172. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 11th March 1916. Tree No. 3245.
