John Matthew Drummond was born in Ballarat, Victoria was single and was employed as a Wool Sorter. He enlisted in Melbourne, Victoria at the age of 19. He volunteered and was stationed with the 15th Victorian General Service Reinforcement with the Regimental number 68792. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 8th of January 1919.
