John Matthew Drummond (SN 68792) born at Ballarat, was an 18 year old wool sorter when he enlisted in Melbourne on July 16th 1918. With the 15th General Service Reinforcements, he embarked from Adelaide aboard the Boonah on October 22nd but with the signing of the Armistice the ship was recalled, and he was discharged on February 5th 1919.
His brothers David and Henry also served in the AIF and are honoured with a tree in the Avenue.
