Biography

Francis Leslie Bawtree Webb (SN 68898) born in Ballarat, was a 19 year old bank clerk when he enlisted in Melbourne on July 27th 1918. With the 15th General Service Reinforcements, he embarked from Adelaide aboard the Boonah on October 22nd but, with the signing of the Armistice on November 11th, the Boonah was recalled. He was discharged on February 1st

His brother George was killed in action in August 1916 and his brother Sydney also served in the AIF and they are honoured with trees in the Avenue.
