Born in Ballarat, Oswald Thomas Jones was a single 18 year old clerk at eh time of his enlistment in Melbourne, Victoria on the 10th of January 1916. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A32 Themistocles on the 28th of July 1916.
Oswald returned to Australia on the 20th of October 1919 and was discharged due to the termination of his enlistment period on the 4th of December 1919.
